Kevin Kalinsky, MD, MS, is Acting Associate Professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology and the Director of the Glenn Family Breast Center. In this episode of the HMO Wellness podcast series Our Stories, Dr. Kalinsky shares his experience growing up in a medical family including his grandfather who was a pharmacist, his father a physician and his mom a nurse. Like so many others, his family has been affected by cancer, which is part of what drew him into the fields of cancer research and clinical practice. During his training, an exceptional mentor helped him appreciate the importance of relationships in medicine. Dr. Kalinsky maintains his own wellness by enjoying exercise, theater and family meals.
