Our Stories podcast series is proud to present a conversation with Stephen Szabo MD who is the Director of the Division of Community Oncology for the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology for Emory University School of Medicine, Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital, and Medical Director of Infusion Services at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital. Dr. Szabo shares his story growing up with his father who was a World War II concentration camp survivor and his mother who was a refugee to the United States. While he originally focused his studies on basic science, Dr. Szabo was drawn to medicine, and then oncology, because of his interest in taking care of people. Take a listen to the podcast for Dr. Szabo’s gracious and thoughtful consideration of society and humanity today, even in the midst of a pandemic.
