The Wellness Podcast Series is proud to present a conversation with Dr. Larry Boise, PhD, who services HMO, Winship Cancer Institute, Emory's school of medicine, and our patients in multiple roles as professor, researcher, teacher, and director of basic science. Dr Boise shares his inspiration for a career in cancer, the early loss of his father to cancer, and an 11th grade biology teacher who really cared about science and education. Attention to family time, exercise (including a well-timed bike purchase), and a hobby that focuses on shared experiences with friends are ways Dr Boise is managing the stress of the pandemic. Listen in for a dose of Dr Boise's upbeat anticipation of the day we will be once again seeing each other face to face, and enjoying the moments of shared science, education, clinical work and plain old catching up!
